As part of "Parental Love Week," Brest State Technical University (BrSTU) hosted a major social project titled "Being a Mom is Cool!" / "Being a Dad is Cool!" The meeting with students focused on strengthening the institution of the family, promoting motherhood and fatherhood, and discussing state support available to young parents in the Republic of Belarus.
An open dialogue with the students was led by several distinguished guests:
- Vladimir Veniaminovich Borovenko - Chairman of the Moskovsky District Organization of the NGO "Belaya Rus" and a member of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
- Alla Bogdan - Second Vice-Miss of the "Beauty of Belarus 2026" pageant and a representative of the NGO "Belarusian Union of Women."
- Nadezhda Basik - a mother of many children, entrepreneur, and blogger.
What was discussed?
The event took the form of an open dialogue. Participants explored the significance of family in a person’s life, parental responsibility, intergenerational relationships, the challenge of balancing motherhood with professional fulfillment, and the core values that foster trust within a family.
Students actively participated in the conversation, asking the guests about finding a balance between ambitious career goals and building a strong family, as well as inquiring about the support measures available to young professionals.
The event was facilitated by V. V. Panasyuk, an educational psychologist from the BrSTU Social-Psychological Service, who helped create an atmosphere of trust and moderated the discussion.
The meeting served as an opportunity to reflect on the future, family values, and the importance of mutual understanding, respect, and support among loved ones. Family is love, responsibility, and a space in which the future is shaped!
