A scientific and practical conference "Current issues in power engineering" was held in Vitebsk at the Vitebskoblgaz UP, which was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Belarus, organized by the GAZ-INSTITUTE State Industrial Institution.
The event was attended by representatives of organizations that are part of the Beltopgaz State Industrial Association and the Belenergo State Industrial Association, the Belarusian Railway Administration, and representatives of higher education institutions.
Brest State Technical University was represented by Vladimir Gennadievich Novoseltsev, Head of the Department of Heat and Gas Supply and Ventilation.

The conference program included a plenary session and three thematic sections:
– digital transformation of the industry,
– industrial safety,
– science and education for the industry.

V.G. Novoseltsev presented a report on "Practice-oriented training of engineers based on effective interaction of the university with personnel employing organizations on the example of cooperation with UP Brestoblgaz". The report aroused great interest on the part of the management of GPO "Beltopgaz" and GIPK "GAZ-INSTITUTE", agreements were reached on the active development of cooperation with the university.
