Excursion to the Day of Civil Aviation Workers

In November, the Belarusian people celebrated the Day of Civil Aviation Workers.

On November 26, the group EM-6 and foreign students of group BI-57 took an excursion to the Brest airport. The chief, Dokuchits Aleksandr Vladimirovich, paid attention to the students and answered their questions.

The group was then accompanied by an airport employee - tour guide Gubarevich Vadim Viktorovich. He conducted a very interesting and informative excursion, told the students the history of the Brest airport, which began in September 1945. On May 19, 1993, the Brest airport was granted international status.

At Brest Airport, the Brest branch of the state enterprise "Belaeronavigatsia" provides the following types of flight support, including international: air navigation services for air traffic, radio engineering and aviation telecommunications, engineering and aviation, electrical and lighting, special-vehicle transport, aviation security, emergency rescue, fire-fighting, meteorological flight support, medical examination of civil aviation personnel. Brest Airport has one runway with artificial pavement, 2620 meters long, equipped for instrument approach. The airfield is suitable for round-the-clock operation of aircraft A-319-100, A-320-200, A-321-100, A-321-200, B-727-100, B-737-400, B-737-700, B-737-800, B-767-300, B-767-300ER, IL-62 and other aircraft with a maximum take-off weight of up to 191 tons and a wingspan of up to 51.9 m, as well as helicopters of all types.

Brest Airport is open to all users of the airspace of the Republic of Belarus on equal terms during its operation within the established work regulations.
