On December 2, Brest State Technical University hosted a "talk about the important" dedicated to International AIDS Day.
The guest of the event was Olga Sergeevna Bondareva, an epidemiologist at the Brest Regional Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health. During the conversation with students, Olga Alexandrovna emphasized the importance of developing safe and responsible behavior in young people to maintain their health and the health of others.
International AIDS Day is not only a reason to remind about the seriousness of the problem, but also an opportunity to show how close it is. Olga Sergeevna reminded about simple rules of safe behavior that will help protect against HIV infection, as well as the importance of timely HIV testing.
At the end of the meeting, the students took part in a quiz and, together with the guest, created a poster on which each participant attached a red ribbon – a symbol representing awareness of the importance of the AIDS problem throughout the world.
