In anticipation of the holidays, it has become a good tradition at Brest State University to organize inter-faculty events for foreign students who arrived to study this year.

On December 23, 2024, the student evening "Let's get acquainted!" was held, which became one of a series of integration events prepared by teachers of the Department of Linguistic Disciplines and Intercultural Communications. The purpose of these events is to help foreign students quickly adapt to a new environment for them.

The dean of the mechanical engineering faculty Sergey Romanovich Onysko and the dean of the economics faculty Victoria Vasilievna Zazerskaya addressed the participants with welcoming words.

Foreign students from China, Nigeria, Turkey and Egypt enthusiastically read poetry, sang songs, participated in linguistic competitions, talked about themselves and their families, as well as about their hometowns and countries. In turn, Belarusian students of the Faculty of Economics represented our country.

Such events help foreign students gain experience in public speaking, feel more confident and overcome the language barrier.
