Expert dialogue "Elections-2025: Regional Dimension" was held at Brest State Technical University on January 16.
The event, organized by the Brest branch of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies, was attended by representatives of political parties, government agencies, mass media, and specialists from BrSTU and BrSU named after A.S. Pushkin.
Experts noted that the election campaign imposes the highest degree of responsibility on both candidates and voters. The main task for everyone is to prevent the country from being divided and to pass it on to future generations as a strong and independent, peaceful and sovereign country.
During a lively open conversation, they discussed the role of civil society institutions in modern political processes, the influence of traditional and modern media on the electoral sentiments of the population.
The discussion also touched upon the socio-economic development of the Brest region and the factors that influence it.
According to the head of the Brest branch of BISI Igor Sergeyevich Korol, one of the drivers of the socio-economic sphere is university science and Brest State Technical University is a clear confirmation of this. To date, a number of projects have already been successfully implemented and cooperation with leading enterprises of the region in terms of automation, robotization and digitalization of production processes continues to actively develop. Summing up the event, all participants agreed that new technologies and competitive production are needed, certainly continuing the course to preserve the independence and sovereignty of Belarus.
