On the eve of the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, a ceremonial event "In the name of peace on earth..." was held at Brest State Technical University. The assembly hall gathered students, teachers and honored guests to celebrate one of the most important holidays of the country.
The Rector of the university Sergey Aleksandrovich Kasperovich addressed those present with a welcoming speech. He emphasized the importance of raising patriotism among young people and expressed gratitude to veterans and military personnel for their dedication and devotion to the cause of defending the Motherland.
The award ceremony took place in a solemn atmosphere. Teachers of the Military Department, who demonstrated themselves in productive and conscientious work, high-quality performance of their duties and active participation in the training of qualified officer personnel, were awarded well-deserved awards.
For diligence and distinction in service, and success in service activities, Sergey Antonovich awarded Lieutenant Colonel Mironovich Oleg Vladimirovich and Lieutenant Colonel Kucheiko Sergey Vasilyevich with university certificates. Lieutenant Colonel Tokar Aleksandr Aleksandrovich and Lieutenant Colonel Melnik Vladimir Nikolaevich received gratitude from the Rector.
Traditionally, the best students of the military department of BrSTU were also recognized on this day, receiving Rector's certificates for their excellent studies and active participation in the life of the department.
Vice-Rector for Educational Work Natalya Petrovna Yalovaya addressed those present with warm words of congratulations, wishing everyone courage, nobility, honor, bravery and selflessness.
The performances of the university's creative teams added a special atmosphere to the holiday. The students showed their talents in songs, dances and theatrical productions dedicated to military themes. Sincere performance and variety of numbers made this concert unforgettable.
The concert was decorated by the orchestra of the 38th Brest Separate Guards Airborne Assault Vienna Red Banner Brigade under the direction of conductor Sergei Valyushko and the orchestra's soloist Elena Nadolskaya. The musicians presented the audience with bright compositions that reflected the power and greatness of our army.
The celebration became a symbol of unity and patriotism, uniting students, teachers and veterans. All those present felt pride in their country and its defenders.
Defender of the Fatherland Day is not only a reason to remember the heroic pages of the past, but also an opportunity to express gratitude to modern soldiers who stand guard over peace and tranquility.
