Today, Brest State Technical University hosted a seminar titled "Advanced Methodologies as a Tool for Developing Professional Competence: Teaching Experience and Prospects at Brest State Technical University."
"In a rapidly changing world, teachers are key players; they must continuously develop and master new technologies and teaching methods. Faculty development is an investment in the university's future!" Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Andrey Nikolaevich Parfievich welcomed the seminar participants.
The event brought together deans, department heads, and faculty members from various faculties, who shared experiences and discussed ways to improve the educational process.
The seminar's key topics covered modern pedagogical approaches and digital tools. Presentations were made on technologies for personalizing learning using artificial intelligence, as well as on problem-based and team-based learning, which promote the development of practical skills and teamwork in students.
Special attention was paid to the creation of teaching and learning materials in Google Workspace, student assessment criteria in Google Classroom, and the practical use of the Google Vids video editor for preparing visual materials and student portfolios. A discussion of the Moodle platform covered its current state, usage modes, and automation capabilities.
The final part of the seminar emphasized the role of artificial intelligence as a tool for improving efficiency and transforming the educational process in the university environment. Participants noted the need for systematic teacher training, the development of methodological recommendations, and the implementation of ethical and organizational measures to maintain the quality and academic integrity of education.
