The Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus announced the results of its annual competition for the best doctoral and candidate's dissertations.

The competition is held annually by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus to identify the most significant scientific works completed by scientists in our country. The main goal of the event is to encourage talented researchers, develop scientific thought, and stimulate interest in science.

Among the laureates in the "Natural Sciences" category is Svetlana Vasilyevna Sidak, senior lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Brest State Technical University.

Svetlana Sidak's dissertation is devoted to a current environmental topic: assessing and forecasting the hydrological characteristics of Belarusian rivers in modern climatic conditions. The work is a comprehensive scientific work containing valuable recommendations for the protection of water resources and the rational use of natural resources.
