Strengthening comprehensive cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China is reflected in new educational initiatives. A striking example of this was the signing of a cooperation agreement between Brest State Technical University and Yanbian University.
Yanbian University, one of the leading scientific and educational centers in northeastern China, has confirmed its high status through its participation in key national projects. The university is a participant in the state program "Project 211" and the "Double First-Class University Plan," demonstrating its significant potential. The partner university trains highly qualified specialists in a wide range of fields, including information technology, architecture and construction, automation, and mechanical engineering, creating a solid foundation for synergies with BrSTU.
The agreement signing ceremony took place during a visit by a Yanbian University delegation to Brest. The talks, chaired by BrSTU Rector Andrey Nikolaevich Parfievich, were constructive. Sun Junqi, Executive Vice-Rector of the Chinese university, joined the online dialogue, underscoring the high level of interest of both parties in developing the partnership.
The signed document lays the foundation for long-term and fruitful cooperation. The agreement provides for the implementation of joint projects in several key areas:
Engineering training: developing academic mobility for students and faculty, as well as joint educational programs.
Research: conducting joint fundamental and applied research to address pressing scientific and technical challenges.
Innovative activities: developing and commercializing innovative, science-intensive products.
This partnership opens new horizons for BrSTU's academic community, facilitating the university's integration into the international educational space and strengthening its position on the global stage.
