Happy National Unity Day!

Dear faculty, staff, students, and veterans of Brest State Technical University!

Please accept our most sincere and heartfelt congratulations on the national holiday—National Unity Day!

This day holds a special place in the history of our homeland. On September 17, 1939, an event occurred that forever changed the destiny of the Belarusian people: the reunification of Western Belarus and the Belarusian SSR. It was not merely an act of restoring territorial integrity, but a triumph of historical justice that allowed our people to regain a shared home, speak their native language, and build their future as a united nation.

For us, the residents of the Brest region, this date holds particular significance. Our border region was the first to face the challenges of those times and became a living symbol of the unbreakable bond between generations. It is here, on Brest soil—where cultures and trade routes have intertwined for centuries—that we understand, perhaps better than anyone, the true value of peace, harmony, and sovereignty.

Today, National Unity Day has taken on new meaning. In a rapidly changing world, it reminds us that the strength of a state lies primarily in the solidarity of its citizens. Unity is the result of the daily efforts of each of us. It is our shared responsibility to preserve our historical memory and to ensure the stability and prosperity of our native Belarus.

Brest State Technical University has always been, and remains, a place where young minds from every corner of our country come together. We are rightly proud that our university welcomes young men and women from various regions, creating a unified educational and cultural space. Here, in our classrooms and research laboratories, the unity of intellectual effort that drives progress is born. You learn to work as a team, support one another, and tackle the most complex challenges together. On this festive day, I wish to express my deep gratitude to the university’s faculty and staff. Your professionalism, wisdom, and dedication to your chosen vocation ensure the continuity of the traditions of our national school of engineering. I extend special appreciation to our veterans, whose life journeys serve as a moral compass for us all.

I sincerely wish you robust health, boundless optimism, family well-being, and peaceful skies. May a spirit of camaraderie, mutual respect, and creative endeavor always prevail within the walls of our university. May each new academic year bring us all fresh victories, scientific discoveries, and reasons for shared pride in our great country! Take care of yourselves, your loved ones, and our shared heritage—the sovereign Republic of Belarus.

Happy holiday! Happy National Unity Day!

Sincerely,
Rector of Brest State Technical University
Andrei Nikolaevich Parfievich
